Talei-Jean represents Taranaki in U16 Girls Basketball and has been selected for the NZ Basketball Pacific Koru team, travelling to Australia in January 2026 for the Country Cup. This is her first overseas trip, with a tour cost of $4,000.
She’s also a dedicated Touch player, representing the Galaxy U16 Girls, Taranaki U16 Girls, and Te Ohu Ikaroa U16 Girls teams. Upcoming tournaments include Whakatāne, NZ Junior Nationals in Christchurch, and NZ Homegrown in Hamilton.
How We Helped
The boost supported Talei-Jean with the high costs of competing in rep Basketball and Touch. After fundraising to cover her $4,000 Koru tour, the funding helped ease the financial pressure of her upcoming Touch campaigns — including Nationals in Christchurch and the Homegrown tournament in Hamilton.
Representing multiple regions comes with significant travel and fees, and the support has been a huge help to Talei and her whānau, who work hard to cover her sporting commitments.
